The shipping history of the family OZCAN consists of; Shipping, Shipping Trading, Mariner status within the rank of Captain, Engineer, Seafarer and Ship Owner since 1910.

BBS Classification Society ,first founded at 2004 by Captain Raci OZCAN, Captain Nadi OZCAN and Mr. M. Naci OZCAN.

BBS authorized to issue Ship Statutory certificate, Type Approval Certificate ,Class Certificate and carry out surveying and technical activities . BBS activities include Certification and Classification for all kinds of vessels and sea crafts, issuing statutory certificates, approval of ship manuals and plans, ISM and ISPS Code manuals approval.

Our professional team carry out the mentioned activities extremely carefully through their knowledge and experience.

We serve as a “Ship Classification Society’’ with our colleagues in administration team at our head office and our surveyor team which have both educational background and technical experience for years in business.

BBS Class is authorized to issue a classification certificate for all sorts of vessels regardless of flags or tonnages and cargo gears, all sorts of crane riggings.

BBS serves with high quality standards and which complies with IMO 739(18), 789(19).  

BBS has been authorized by ABU DABHI (UNITED ARAB EMIRATES) for survey and the issuance of statutory certificates and classification certificates on their behalf on the date of May. 24^th,  2008.

BBS has been authorized by Government of Republic of Lebanon survey and the issuance of statutory certificates and classification certificates on their behalf on the date of December. 27^th,  2007.

BBS has also been authorized by The Cambodia ISROC Deputy Registrar on the Dec,29th.2005 as Classification Society.

Black Sea Bureau of Shipping (BBS), is recognized organization and Classification Society certified by ISO 9000-2001 Standards, serves with high quality standards and which complies with IMO 739 (18), 789 (19) and is a fully recognized organization by the Government of Georgia and the issuance of Statutory Certificates, class certificate on their behalf.

BBS is member of Turkish Chamber of Shipping and Turkish Chamber of Trade.
